Buyers of small businesses come in various forms including investors looking for high positive cash flow, competitors wanting market share or other assets of the seller, etc. BMI earns its income by bringing the right buyer to the seller-client we represent. There is never a fee to the buyer for our service.

If you want to be informed of a specific company available for sale, look on our Business Available page, or call us at 410-964-3353. We try to maintain a list of potential buyers, and they are notified as a client becomes available. Ask to be on the list if that is appropriate for you.

If you read our Home Page, and Info for Seller page, you probably sense that we are a no-nonsense company. We do not accept many clients, and we do not waste our time, their time, or potential buyer’s time.

If you are interested in our client, we will provide you an Offer Letter of one page. If you want more information, we will provide an Information Package of five to fifteen pages. Our client may require a Letter of Confidentiality before sending you the Information Package. We will also ask a few questions before we send it:

Are you a competitor, investor, etc.?
What appeals to you about our client?
What are you likely to do with the assets of our client?
Have you ever bought a business?
Are you in a position to complete the buy in 60 days?
How will you pay for the business?
